iPhone TAK setup (iTAK)

Download the enrollment file, import it in iTAK, then sign in with the username and password already issued to you.

Download iTAK enrollment zip

Do not unzip it. Leave it as a .zip in Files.

This file is for iPhone users only.
Android / Windows users go to atak.148tak.net.

Install in iTAK

  1. Install iTAK from the App Store and keep it updated.
  2. On this page, tap Download iTAK enrollment zip. If Safari asks, choose Download.
  3. Open iTAK → the gear (top right) → Network → Servers.
  4. Tap + (bottom right) → Upload Server Package.
  5. Select 148-enroll-iTAK.zip from Downloads / Files. Do not open it in another app first.
  6. When asked, enter your TAK username and the password that was generated for you (example: john.q.public).
  7. If it asks for a certificate / truststore password, contact your BN S6 or ask someone with existing access.
  8. Enable the new server named 1-148 TAK. Status should go connected.

Optional: QR instead of the zip

In iTAK go to Servers → + → scan this code inside iTAK (not the iPhone Camera app). Then enter the same username and password.

If it fails

  1. Confirm you imported the iTAK zip, not an ATAK/WinTAK package.
  2. Confirm the zip was not unzipped and re-zipped (AirDrop / Files download is fine).
  3. Use the account you were issued. Do not share someone else’s client cert.
  4. Phone needs internet to go.148tak.net on ports 443, 8446, and 8089.
